“Therefore”
最后，“therefore”也是一个副词，意思是“作为逻辑结果”。它主要用于论证中，当一个陈述从另一个陈述中逻辑推导出来时，并且在科学文献中很常见。
同样，风格指南通常建议用逗号将其分开，但如果这会破坏句子的自然流畅，大多数作者倾向于省略逗号：

The two lines intersect, therefore they are not parallel.
有些人认为“therefore”可以用作连词（就像“so”一样），用逗号而不是分号分开是可以接受的。然而，没有一个大型英语词典（例如牛津英语词典或韦氏词典）支持这种用法。
需要注意的是，当两个句子之间没有明显的逻辑联系时，“therefore”听起来不自然，特别是在非正式的语境中。在这种情况下，你应该使用“so”：
The trip was cancelled, so I visited my grandma instead.
