1. usado con participios pasados de verbos para formar la voz pasiva

1. ser (conecta el sujeto con un sustantivo)
   She is a doctor. The animal is a cat.
2. ser (vincula al sujeto con una propiedad o característica)
   The cat is fluffy. This was quite strange. Helping others is as important as taking care of yourself.
3. está presente o existe
   There is a chance of rain this afternoon.
4. tener (cuando se expresa la edad, se usa "tener" en español)

5. ser (cuando se expresa la hora actual)
