hood (US), bonnet (UK) – the hinged cover over the engine compartment of a vehicle. In the UK, a hood can also refer to the soft roof of a convertible car.
trunk (US), boot (UK)– the storage compartment at the rear of a vehicle.
bumper – the protective bar at the front or rear of a vehicle designed to absorb impact.
windshield (US), windscreen (UK) – the front window of a vehicle that protects occupants from wind and debris.
dashboard – the panel facing the driver, containing instruments and controls.
door handle – a handle used to open or close a vehicle's door.
rearview mirror – a mirror that allows the driver to see behind the vehicle.
