How to use the Vocabulary section?

So you've saved a couple of meanings, pronunciations or sentences... Now what?

Go to the Vocabulary section in the menu (or click on the stars in the top panel), and you will see all your saved words ordered from the most recently added ones, in the original context.

You can click on any word you see there. You can even star any word, if you want to.

There are 4 icons above the list, looking like this:

| | |

The first three tell you the ordering of your saved words. You can order them from the most recent, from the oldest, and randomly. “Oldest” or “random” work best for memorizing vocabulary.

How to review saved words

Here's how I recommend to do it. First you should order the words any way you prefer (e.g. from the oldest), and then do the following for each sentence you see:

  1. Concentrate on a highlighted word in relation to its color. Is it red? Try to pronounce it as best you can.
  2. Click on the icon (if available) to see the original context. Did you get it right? If you feel confident, remove the star.
  3. Use the icon to see another example of the corresponding color. When you have a green past tense of a verb, you'll see another example of the same verb used in the past tense.
  4. Finally, if you are curious about the particular meaning you starred the verb from (irrespective of what color you used), click on .

When you remove a star from a word, it is marked as “learned”. You can access learned words by using the icon or by clicking the same icon in the top panel.

The learned words are highlighted in gray. It's a good idea to review them from time.
