How to find things to read?

Use the Reading section in the menu. We have two types of texts here:

  1. Single texts, which can be read in any order, such as news, short stories or popular articles.
  2. Series of texts, which should be read in order, such as fiction books and courses (textbooks).

Texts that are parts of series are always displayed with a number indicating which part they represent, e.g.:

When you open a text that is part of a series, your home screen will display the first unread text in that series.

The icon on the left represents the category the text belongs to. If you have already read the text, you will see a yellow checkmark instead. You can see the list of all read texts by going to the Home screen and clicking the icon .

Text variants

Books, news and stories have difficulty variants. You can switch between reading the beginner, intermediate or advanced version right at the beginning of the text.

Courses and articles often have translations, and you can similarly switch to reading either the monolingual variant (more difficult) or your native language variant (easier but causes less immersion while learning).

Searching texts

If you want to find a particular text, go to the Home screen and type something into the search box. The search box returns both dictionary entries and texts.

If there is a dictionary entry corresponding to your query, it will be shown first. Simply check the bottom results and click on the title of the text that you want to open.
