နာမ် “letter”

1. a character used in writing and printing to represent a sound in a language
   စာရင်းသွင်းပါ ဥပမာဝါကျများ၏ ဘာသာပြန်ချက်များနှင့် တစ်လုံးချင်းစီ၏ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ဖွင့်ဆိုချက်များကို ကြည့်ရှုရန်။

   The word "apple" starts with the letter "a".
2. a message that is written down or printed and usually sent in an envelope by mail
   He received a letter from the university, informing him of his acceptance into the program.
3. a standard size of paper used in the United States (8½ by 11 inches, i.e. 215.9 mm × 279.4 mm)
   For my school project, I chose the letter size to be able to print it out easily.

1. to write or put letters on an something (representing the verb's object)
   She lettered her name on the front cover of her notebook.
2. (US) to achieve recognition in high school or college sports by meeting specific standards of performance
   John lettered in football during his senior year of high school.
